Zusammenfassung

Swissgrid in Aarau is hiring a Head of Digital Innovation & AI (80-100%). You will shape the company’s digital future by developing data-driven AI solutions and leading a team of experts on innovation projects.

You will collaborate with internal units and external partners to bring ambitious ideas from vision to implementation, focusing on strategic growth, learning culture, and cross-border cooperation.

Qualifikationen

• A university degree (university or ETH/FH) in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering sciences, business informatics or a comparable field.
• Profound knowledge of electrical energy systems (electrical engineering) and grid operation.
• Can-do hands-on mentality: act as a coach and as a technical lead.
• Several years of experience in digitalisation, data management, AI, innovation or technological transformation.
• Proven leadership experience and enjoyment in promoting and developing employees.
• Strong ability to explain complex topics understandably to all levels.
• Strategic thinking with pragmatic implementation and change management skills.
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and a strong interest in innovation and research.
• Ability to build cooperation and connect different interest groups.
• Very good German and English skills; French is an advantage.

• Shape the strategic direction of digitalisation, data and AI in collaboration with business units and apply new solution approaches in pilot projects.
• Identify opportunities for new digital solutions and innovative business approaches along Swissgrid’s value chain.
• Initiate, manage and accompany innovation, research and transformation projects up to operational usability.
• Promote the use of modern technologies in AI and automation.
• Contribute to a company-wide culture of innovation and learning and support knowledge transfer across boundaries.
• Lead a team of around five experts and create the framework for their development.
• Represent Swissgrid in national and international expert committees, research programmes and networks.
• Maintain relationships with universities, start-ups, technology partners and other TSOs.

In this key role, you take responsibility for the further development of digitalisation, innovation and data-driven applications at Swissgrid. As Head of Digital Innovation & AI, you actively shape Swissgrid’s digital future. You develop innovative solutions, unlock new potentials through data and AI, and promote a company-wide culture of innovation. Together with internal and external partners, you bring pioneering ideas from vision to implementation. Your responsibilities and tasks include in particular:

• you shape the strategic direction of digitalisation, data and AI in close collaboration with the business units and apply new solution approaches in pilot projects
• identify opportunities for new digital solutions and innovative business approaches along Swissgrid’s value chain
• initiate, manage and accompany innovation, research and transformation projects up to operational usability
• promote the use of modern technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and automation
• contribute to a company-wide culture of innovation and learning and support knowledge transfer across organisational boundaries
• lead a team of around five highly qualified and motivated experts and create the framework conditions for their successful professional and personal development
• represent Swissgrid in national and international expert committees, research programmes and innovation networks
• maintain and strengthen sustainable relationships with universities, start-ups, technology partners and other transmission system operators
