Job summary

Fraikin Group in French-speaking Switzerland is looking for a Workshop Manager – Refrigeration Technician. You will drive diagnostics, maintenance and repair on refrigerated vehicles, combining mechanical, electrical and electronic expertise with strong organisational skills.

Based in Yverdon-les-Bains, you will coordinate interventions, monitor parts and deadlines, and contribute to the efficient operation of the workshop in a friendly and dynamic environment with attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration technician by trade with solid technical experience.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanics and/or commercial vehicles.
• Master fault diagnosis; comfortable with mechanics, electrical and electronics.
• IT skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and workshop software.
• Autonomous, methodical and able to organise priorities.
• Experience in team coordination or workshop organisation is an asset.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics in mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and electronic areas.
• Perform maintenance, servicing and repair work on vehicles.
• Provide refrigeration expertise for diagnosis, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment.
• Identify faults and determine required parts to restore vehicles.
• Manage part references and place orders with suppliers.
• Monitor availability, deadlines and deliveries to minimise downtime.
• Prioritise work based on urgency and operational needs.
• Ensure follow-up until the vehicle is back in service.
• Check quality and compliance with procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain administrative and technical records using workshop software.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop organisation.

Workshop Manager – Refrigeration Technician M/F

You are a refrigeration technician by trade, with solid mechanical experience, comfortable with diagnostics and wish to progress to a role offering more autonomy and responsibility?

We are looking for a profile capable of combining technical expertise, versatility and workshop organisation.

Your role:

Within the workshop, you will work directly on vehicles while ensuring the coordination and monitoring of various interventions.

In this capacity, you will notably be required to:

• Carry out mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and electronic diagnostics using diagnostic tools.
• Perform maintenance, servicing and repair work on vehicles.
• Provide your refrigeration expertise for the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment.
• Identify faults and determine the work and parts necessary to restore vehicles.
• Research part references, establish requirements and place orders with suppliers.
• Monitor availability, deadlines and deliveries to minimise vehicle downtime as much as possible.
• Distribute and prioritise work according to urgency, operational needs and parts availability.
• Ensure follow-up of each intervention until the vehicle is returned to service.
• Check the quality of work carried out and ensure compliance with procedures and safety rules.
• Manage the administrative and technical follow-up of activities using IT tools and workshop management software.
• Actively participate in improving the organisation and daily operation of the workshop.

Your profile

• You are primarily a refrigeration technician by trade with solid technical experience. You also have good knowledge of automotive mechanics and/or commercial vehicles.
• You master fault diagnosis and are comfortable with environments combining mechanics, refrigeration, electricity and electronics.
• You have good IT skills and are comfortable with diagnostic tools, workshop management software and office tools necessary for activity monitoring.
• Autonomous, methodical and responsive, you know how to organise priorities, anticipate needs and find solutions to unforeseen events.
• Previous experience in team coordination or workshop organisation is an asset.
• You hold a valid driving licence.
