Zusammenfassung

Apple is seeking a machine learning research intern in Zurich to spearhead foundation model development with emphasis on agentic capabilities and RL. You will join an applied ML team of about 35 engineers in Zurich and collaborate with experts in the US on cutting-edge AI research.

The internship focuses on R&D for Apple foundation models powering next-generation AI experiences across Apple platforms. You will transfer research results to real-world performance at scale and contribute to Apple

Qualifikationen

• PhD level research track in ML or related field.
• Strong background in RL and DL, with hands-on large-model training experience.
• Experience with pre-training, fine-tuning, and alignment methods.

Aufgaben

• Research and develop novel approaches for foundation model capabilities.
• Leverage large-scale RL methods to enhance reasoning, planning, and agentic capabilities.
• Design and train agents with tool calling, planning, and API integration.
• Investigate multimodal foundation models across modalities.
• Collaborate on model alignment, safety, and responsible AI practices.
• Contribute to development of tools and frameworks for experimentation and evaluation.
