Adaptyv Bio is seeking a hands-on bench scientist in Lausanne to drive protein expression, DNA assembly, and binding/stability tests at high volume. You will work with cloning, PCR, and recombinant protein techniques while maintaining precise data tracking and protocol fidelity.

This is a hands-on bench role running protein expression, DNA assembly and binding or stability tests at high volume. A strong candidate has done real cloning, PCR and recombinant protein work, has used a few analytical methods such as BLI, SPR or nanoDSF, and can write small Python scripts to handle data. Careful tracking and exact protocol following matter a lot when hundreds of constructs move through each week.
AI models can now design proteins faster than anyone can test them, so the bottleneck has moved to running real experiments. This role sits right at that gap, producing the physical data that AI designs depend on. Judgment at the bench, such as working out why a protein will not express or keeps clumping, stays human, along with helping adapt manual methods so robots can run them.
Working here means seeing how AI-designed proteins perform in real tests, and how that data feeds back into new designs. Day to day, it includes using lab tracking software and working with an automation team that turns bench methods into robotic ones. Someone building toward this could practice scripting for plate maps and data parsing, and learn how design models and lab results connect.

An automated lab that tests AI-designed proteins, so researchers can send a sequence and get real experimental data back.
