Job summary

Meet Life Sciences Ltd. is seeking a Senior Physician in Radiation Oncology to join a well-established team in central Switzerland.

You will independently treat radio-oncology patients using modern radiotherapy concepts and technologies across Lucerne and Zug sites, with involvement in tumor boards and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role requires FMH-certified radiation oncology specialization, several years of experience, and fluent German.

Senior Physician Radiation Oncology (80-100%)

About the role

Our client is a well-established clinical institution in central Switzerland. To strengthen its radiation oncology team, it is looking for an experienced Senior Physician (Oberarzt/Oberärztin). You will independently care for and treat radio-oncology patients using modern radiotherapy concepts and technologies. Depending on needs, you will work across the Lucerne and Zug sites.

Your responsibilities

• Independently manage and treat radio-oncology patients using state-of-the-art radiotherapy approaches
• Take part in interdisciplinary tumor boards and contribute to clinical evaluations and analyses
• Work closely with colleagues in radiology and medical physics
• Contribute new ideas to processes, radio-oncological concepts and daily clinical practice
• Contribute to publications if you wish; this is welcomed and encouraged but not required
• Take part in the on-call service, which includes weekends and nights (on-call, so you are not required to be on site the whole time)

Your profile

• Completed specialist training in radiation oncology (FMH), or an equivalent specialist qualification recognized in Switzerland
• Several years of professional experience in radiation oncology
• Familiarity with modern treatment options such as SRT/SRS and 4D techniques
• Fluent German (C1/C2)
• An independent, responsible way of working
• A rational, data-driven approach to clinical decision-making
• Candidates who have not yet started the MEBEKO recognition process are also welcome to get in touch

Your team

You will join a team of around 30 colleagues, including two leading physicians, six senior physicians, two residents and a student, alongside medical physicists. You will work in close cooperation with the radiology department of roughly 14 colleagues.
