Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and enhance radiation and environmental monitoring solutions. You will work on mixed-signal electronics, analogue sensor interfaces, and ultra‑low‑current circuits, with embedded firmware in VHDL and C, across the full development lifecycle.

You will join the TS-Group within HSE, collaborating with hardware, firmware and software teams, and applying modern methodologies.

Qualifikationen

• Complex HDL firmware development for FPGA, including data readout and processing.
• Experience with digital design methodologies and verification, ASIC development is a plus.
• Practical knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build/test/deploy workflows.
• Proven track record in mixed-signal electronics design including analogue/digital boards.
• Experience with precision analogue front‑end design and low‑current measurement techniques.
• Radiation monitoring tests and system characterisation are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop mixed-signal electronics with analogue sensor interfaces.
• Develop and maintain embedded code in VHDL and C for system control and data handling.
• Maintain firmware development environment and tooling.
• Adapt MPSoC architecture for interfaces and onboard processing.
• Develop firmware updates to meet requirements and perform tests.
• Characterise and validate systems under radiation at CERN and facilities.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective improvements.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams for integration.
• Ensure documentation and version control with GitLab and Jira.
