Nestlé S.A. is seeking an R&D Specialist in Electronics Firmware to own the firmware architecture and codebase for Nespresso portioned coffee machines.

You will deliver robust, secure embedded software across platforms and collaborate with electronics, UX, digital, procurement, operations and external partners. You will lead end-to-end firmware delivery, drive architecture and secure coding, and build standardized development practices to enable scalable, testable software across devices.

Qualifikationen

• Strong embedded firmware experience with C/C++ and RTOS.
• Ability to own firmware architecture and ensure modular, secure code.
• Familiarity with code governance, reviews and CI/CD basics.
• Experience with device-to-device connectivity and external partners.

As a R&D Specialist in Electronics Firmware at Nestlé Product Technology Center for Coffee & Beverages, your mission is to own the firmware architecture and codebase for Nespresso portioned coffee machines, delivering robust, secure, and scalable embedded software across platforms. How you’ll make an impact as a R&D Specialist in Electronics Firmware

• Leading end-to-end embedded firmware delivery from concept to production, ensuring quality, cost and timing commitments are met.
• Driving scalable firmware architecture, secure coding practices and reusable software foundations across coffee machine platforms.
• Building standardized development practices, including code repositories, review gates, documentation frameworks and automated workflows.
• Delivering reliable connectivity and device-to-device communication by aligning protocols with mobile, cloud and external technology partners.
• Strengthening project readiness through clear requirements, risk anticipation, planning discipline and strong cross-functional alignment.
• Contributing to future technology roadmaps and building engineering capabilities that support long-term innovation.

• Bringing strong embedded firmware expertise in C, C++, real-time operating systems, drivers and microcontroller-based development.
