ABB in Quartino, Ticino, Switzerland, is seeking an R&D Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Electrification team working on UPS product lines in a hybrid work model.

You will execute complex engineering tasks, define specs, perform circuit simulations, and lead design optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering thorough technical documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with electrical systems and complex power electronic systems.
• Proven experience in digital and analog circuit design and simulation and proven experience with EMI design, mitigation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for industrial products.
• Familiarity with product regulations and industry standards (including IEC and UL).
• Proficiency in documentation systems, including Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Experience leading failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Excellent command of English (both written and verbal).
