ABB is seeking an R&D Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical test infrastructures for LV three-phase systems. You will develop embedded firmware (C) and PLC solutions for laboratory environments, and lead functional, performance, and safety tests on hardware prototypes.

Reporting to the CoE Laboratory Manager, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document the development lifecycle in line with IEC and UL standards. Onsite role based in Quartino, CH.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineering or related field.
• Experience in embedded firmware development using C for microcontroller- or microprocessor-based systems.
• Knowledge of low-voltage three-phase electrical systems, power distribution or UPS technologies.
• Experience in electrical design, testing, validation, or commissioning of electrical/electronic systems.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation concepts.
• Professional English communication; other languages are a plus.
