Job summary

qCella AG, an ETH Zürich startup, seeks an R&D Intern in Applied Chemistry (m/f/d) at ETH Zürich, Campus Hönggerberg. This 6–12 month internship starts Fall 2025 and offers hands-on experience in a fast‑moving materials/heating technology project.

You will screen reaction conditions, design experiments, monitor processes, and analyze data while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Applicants should be chemistry or chemical engineering students with good English and Swiss work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Students in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in project work is an advantage.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Work permit in Switzerland or Swiss student internship eligibility.
• High social skills, team player, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Reaction condition screening and optimization (high-throughput experimentation).
• Brainstorm, design and implement experiment series.
• Process monitoring and analytical characterization.
• Yield and purity enhancement studies.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving in synthesis.
• Documentation and data analysis for process improvement.
