The position is onsite in Warsaw, Indiana, and demands the ability to read micrometers and calipers, with basic math skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Prior medical device experience is beneficial, and independence is valued.

• Maintain effective communication with other departments and work with a sense of urgency.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection of product to ensure conformance to requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Comply with Medartis’ Quality System procedures, work instructions and business policies.
• Inspect product according to defined and approved requirements.
• Complete documentation according to established policies and procedures.
• Identifies and segregates non-conforming product, and promptly identifies problems or discrepancies to supervision.
• Utilize measurement equipment such as CMM, Keyence, Micro Vu, comparators, micrometers, calipers, and functional gauges for completion of inspections.
• Maintain effective working relations, communications and feedback with all other departments.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand complex written, oral and pictorial instructions to perform usual responsibilities in a timely manner
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read micrometers, calipers, Micro Vu, comparators, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in medical device is beneficial
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
