CERN ATLAS ITk team is upgrading HL-LHC and developing automated QC systems for detector production. You will work on readout, data handling, and test automation to ensure reliable testing and validation of detector components.
The role emphasizes operation of data acquisition systems, software/firmware development for readout, and QA testing of silicon detectors within an international collaboration at CERN. Fluency in English and willingness to learn French are expected.
The ATLAS Experiment at CERN is preparing for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) by upgrading its Inner Tracker (ITk). A key component of this upgrade is the construction of a new hybrid pixel detector, comprising more than 8,000 silicon pixel modules.
As part of the CERN ATLAS team, you will contribute to the operation, development, and optimisation of highly automated quality control (QC) systems used during detector production. Your work will focus on detector readout, data handling, and test automation, helping to ensure the reliable testing and validation of detector components.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
