PAVE Space SA. in Villeneuve, VD is seeking a Crew Propulsion Data Engineer to turn rocket test data into actionable insights.
You will build processing pipelines for large sensor data and collaborate across propulsion, fluidics, structures, and systems teams to improve test outcomes. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on data work in aerospace or related fields, strong Python/MATLAB skills, and expertise in time-series analysis and sensor calibration.
Crew Propulsion
Location Villeneuve, CH
Type of contract Full-time
Do you want to turn rocket engine test data into the decisions that make flight hardware real?
PAVE Space is buildingLYOBA, a heavy kick stage moving up to 4-ton payloads from LEO to high-energy orbits in under 24 hours. None of that works unless our propulsion, fluidics, structures, and spacecraft systems are tested, understood, and improved fast. That starts with clean, trusted, actionable test data.
That’s the job.
We are scaling up propulsion and spacecraft test campaigns, from component-level checks to full engine and system tests. Every test generates large volumes of sensor data: pressure, temperature, thrust, flow, vibration, strain, valve timing, DAQ signals, and more.
You’ll build the processing, analysis, and reporting workflows that turn raw data into engineering insight on a timeline measured in hours or days, not weeks.
Your work will directly influence whether hardware is redesigned, accepted, retested, or fired again.
This is hard, early, and fully on-site in Villeneuve, VD, close to our test site in Chavalon, because we have a strong on-site hardware culture. Some tests will not behave as expected. Some data will be noisy, incomplete, or surprising. That is exactly why this role matters.
What makes it worth it: you will help build the data backbone behind one of the most ambitious propulsion programs in Switzerland.
