Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Solutions Physicist – Technical Marketing Focus based in Switzerland.

As a Product Solutions Physicist, you will bridge cutting‑edge quantum physics, advanced control technologies, and technical marketing to shape how the quantum computing community understands emerging solutions.
You will translate complex hardware and software capabilities into accurate, compelling technical narratives that resonate with researchers, engineers, and industry leaders.
Drawing on your scientific expertise, you will evaluate the latest research, identify meaningful industry developments, and determine which technical innovations deserve greater visibility.
You will create authoritative content, from whitepapers and application notes to conference presentations and digital thought leadership initiatives.
Working closely with research, product, solutions, and marketing teams, you will ensure that technical messaging reflects real experimental needs and scientific progress.
You will also represent the organization within the quantum computing community, sharing insights and building credibility through publications, talks, and industry engagement.
This is an opportunity to combine experimental physics expertise with science communication and strategic storytelling in a rapidly evolving technological field.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of quantum control platforms, including control hardware, programming environments, and real‑time control technologies, with particular attention to the experimental challenges associated with different qubit modalities, especially spin qubits.

  • Own the technical accuracy, messaging, and positioning of public‑facing materials, including whitepapers, application notes, blog posts, datasheets, solution briefs, and conference presentations.

  • Analyze emerging research papers, scientific publications, and industry developments to identify relevant advances, evaluate technical claims, and determine which topics offer valuable educational opportunities for the quantum computing community.

  • Collaborate with solutions, applications, research, and product teams to understand new capabilities, customer challenges, and developments across the quantum computing ecosystem.

  • Identify underrepresented or underserved technical topics and develop educational content that addresses the needs of researchers, engineers, and industry professionals.

  • Represent the organization as a trusted technical voice through conference presentations, webinars, panel discussions, publications, and other community‑facing activities.

  • Adapt scientific communication to different audiences, from graduate students and experimental physicists to engineering leaders, executives, and chief technology officers.

  • Create compelling technical and scientific content across multiple formats, including written publications, videos, and digital marketing assets for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs, and X.

  • Partner with marketing operations to evaluate content performance, understand audience engagement, and incorporate insights into future content development and communication strategies.

  • Help shape the overall content strategy and tone of voice by combining scientific rigor with effective storytelling and audience‑focused messaging.

  • Establish and improve workflows that transform product releases, research findings, and technical developments into timely, accessible content that clearly explains their significance to the wider community.

Requirements
  • A PhD in quantum physics or a closely related field is required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in experimental quantum physics and/or quantum computing is required.

  • Experience with spin qubits is a strong advantage, particularly for understanding the experimental challenges and control requirements associated with this qubit modality.

  • A strong track record of technical communication, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts accurately and clearly to both specialist and non‑specialist audiences.

  • Exceptional storytelling and content development skills, supported by outstanding written and spoken English proficiency.

  • Confidence in public speaking, with the ability to deliver engaging technical presentations at conferences, webinars, and other professional events.

  • A genuine interest in marketing, scientific storytelling, and science communication, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to practical applications and audience needs.

  • Strong analytical skills and scientific judgment, including the ability to read research papers critically, evaluate technical claims, and distinguish meaningful advances from less relevant developments.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across marketing, product, research and development, solutions, and sales teams.

  • The ability to balance scientific precision with accessible communication, ensuring that all external messaging remains technically credible, relevant, and compelling.

  • A proactive and curious mindset, with the ability to identify emerging topics, take ownership of content initiatives, and work effectively in a fast‑moving, innovation‑driven environment.
