Job summary

more-jobs is assisting a Fribourg-based client in recruiting a Product Safety Specialist to promote risk assessment processes and coordinate with engineering. The role involves implementing safety requirements and interfacing with customers and stakeholders to address product safety concerns.

You will identify mechanical, electrical, and software risks and contribute to safety discussions to improve solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in technical area.
• Several years' experience in industrial machinery.
• Basic knowledge of combustion engine technologies.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, mechanical design, hardware/software development.
• Practical knowledge of product safety and EN ISO 12100.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Apply and promote risk assessment processes according to EN ISO 12100 and ensure their application.
• Coordinate implementation of product risk assessments with engineering department.
• Ensure safety requirements, guidelines and standards are implemented.
• Support communication with customers and external stakeholders on product safety and risk assessment.
• Identify potential risks (mechanical, electrical, software and technical aspects).
• Contribute to technical discussions and challenge existing solutions from a safety perspective.

As a Product Safety Specialist you apply and promote risk assessment processes according to EN ISO 12100 and you ensure their application. Moreover, you coordinate the implementation of product risk assessments with engineering department. Besides, you ensure the implementation of applicable product safety requirements, guideline and standards. In addition, you support communication with customers and external stakeholders (product safety, risk assessment). Profile:

• Diploma in technical area
• Several years' experience in an industrial area (machinery or heavy-duty equipment a plus)
• Basic knowledge in combustion engine technolgies
• Good understanding of broad technical (technical drawings, mechanical design, hardware/software development
• Practical knowledge of product safety and risk assessment (EN ISO 12100)
