Proton seeks a skilled engineer to design, build, maintain the sync SDK powering Proton Drive's desktop applications, handling local/remote state and cryptographic operations while ensuring scalable internals.

You will collaborate with backend teams, focus on desktop experience, and contribute to deployments, monitoring, and incident response. Strong testing and reliability are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience in .NET development.
• Strong experience with concurrent multi-threaded programming.
• Optional experience building and maintaining desktop applications.
• Working knowledge of file systems.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
• Experience with owning and maintaining large software components.
• Experience with gradual rollouts and metrics/monitoring/alerting frameworks.

Aufgaben

• Be part of a small team to deliver a privacy-by-default sync SDK for Proton Drive on Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Develop applications that manage local and remote state, cryptographic ops, and resilient internals.
• Invest in test automation to improve delivery cadence.
• Decompose problems into iterations and adjust scope to meet deadlines.
• Ensure high-quality monitoring and alerting for a smooth user experience.
