The Privacy Program Analyst provides the required planning, management and execution of the global privacy program, with cross functional coordination, and inter / intra team communications (full support to all Regional Privacy Officers) to deliver outstanding end-to-end privacy program deployment and drive privacy engagement across the organization.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  1. Provide the required planning and program management, cross-functional coordination, and inter / intra team communications to deliver outstanding end-to-end solution deployment of the privacy program and business engagement.
  2. Manage and optimize the privacy program, and help to drive positive and/or required change across the organization.
  3. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions in the privacy program.
  4. Partner with Regional Privacy Officers and representatives from the business to monitor and report on progress, resolve issues, and refine control processes, as necessary.
  5. Establish and oversee metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for assessing and measuring the maturity of the privacy program.
  6. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the One Trust platform.
  7. Be the Primary Point of Contact for external consultants who execute the One Trust software that implements key elements of the Privacy Program.
  8. Ensure appropriate sponsorship and work closely with partners in the business to deliver the Privacy Program in a matrix environment.
  9. Be responsible for producing all typical project documentation - detailed project plans, work plans, schedules, project estimates, conversion schedules, resource plans and status reports.
  10. Support key functions of the Privacy Program, including privacy assessments, data protection impact assessments, policy updates, training, data subject request processing and incident response.
  11. Have other responsibilities as assigned/identified.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  1. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to drive a team to manage and meet goals and deadlines.
  2. 2+ years of prior experience helping to manage a privacy program or in a role heavily focused on privacy.
  3. Flexibility and ability to analyze and manage complex issues with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  4. Working knowledge of One Trust privacy compliance software is desirable but not essential.
  5. Excellent judgment, organizational, time management, observation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. The ability to read, write, understand and communicate fluently in English. Other language skills are a plus.
  7. CIPM or other certifications in project management, data privacy, and information security, such as PMP, IAPP, CISSP, and CISA.
