Job summary

SONCEBOZ is seeking a Mould Maintenance Mechanic at the Sonceboz-Sombeval site to maintain injection moulds from 200 kg to 1 tonne, ensuring reliability and performance. You will dismantle, inspect, and reassemble tooling, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions with a focus on precision and methodical work.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma in tooling and around 5 years of experience in tooling maintenance or manufacturing, with strong reading of drawings and traditional

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in tooling or equivalent; 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in mould maintenance in plastic injection moulding.
• Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Knowledge of traditional machining and measuring tools.
• Willingness to work in a 2x8 shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on moulds after production: dismantling, inspection, cleaning, reassembly.
• Prepare and inspect tooling before returning to production to ensure proper function.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance, including rapid action when breakage or stoppage occurs.
• Perform adjustment, grinding and traditional machining to restore tooling condition.
• Work on mould components: hot runners, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pressure sensors.
• Carry out high-precision dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and profile projectors.
• Read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and document interventions in CMMS.
• Identify and propose tooling improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
• Communicate clearly with maintenance and production teams.
