Job summary

Trinnovo Group is seeking a Practice Director, Data & AI for the Zurich/Zug/Lucerne region. You will own the Swiss Data & AI P&L and lead a movement to grow a 50+ person, CHF 15m+ practice within three years, turning early pilots into long-term platform engagements.

You’ll build a diversified client roster across Zurich banking, Zug commodities, and Central Swiss industry, while embedding AI governance with FINMA-regulated clients.

Practice Director, Data & AI - Zurich/Zug/Lucerne

Banks have mostly said yes to AI. Some are still waiting to see what it pays.

78% of Swiss banks now have active AI adoption, up from 53% in 2024. The wins are in compliance, AML, document processing and credit scoring. The bigger prize (advice at scale, new products, front-to-back change) is still mostly on the slide.

The same pilot-to-production gap sits inside the commodity trading houses in Zug and the insurers and industrials across Zurich and Central Switzerland.

The client is a global, engineering-led consultancy. Not a strategy house that hands off the build, and not an outsourcer waiting for a spec. They’ve spent decades building complex platforms for global enterprises and they’re now putting engineers inside client teams to take AI from pilot to production. In Switzerland, they want someone to turn that into a practice clients ask for by name.

• A global role that happens to sit in Switzerland
• A sales seat that hands off to a delivery team you’ve never met

You’ll recognise yourself if

• You’ve sold and delivered Swiss Data & AI programmes worth CHF 4m+
• You’ve turned “why isn’t this in production yet” into the next SOW
• You know the difference between a strategy deck and a shipped platform and you’ve built a career on the second
• Strong exposure to modern Data Platform solutions e.g Databricks, MS Fabric, Palantir Foundry and/or Snowflake
• Strong communication skills In English (German a strong plus)
• You’re based in and happy to be regularly in the office (Zurich, Zug or Lucerne)
