Job summary

WinGD Ltd. is seeking a Powertrain Expert (m/f/d) in Winterthur to design and develop advanced powertrain components. The role focuses on innovative layout and retrofit integration for existing engines, while supporting the service business and licensees.

You will collaborate across engineering and service teams, ensuring cost-efficient, reliable solutions with a strong emphasis on design and stress assessment and international communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with CAD (NX preferred) and FEM software (ANSYS Workbench preferred).
• Knowledge of design and stress assessment of mechanical components.
• Familiarity with EHD software AVL EXCITE and gear calculation tool KISSsoft beneficial.
• Fluent in English; German beneficial; good oral and written communication.
• Independent, self-driven and target oriented working style.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of powertrain components such as variable compression ratio system, supply unit drive, gears and plain bearings.
• Layout, design and retrofit adaptation of powertrain systems for existing engines.
• Provide excellent support for the WinGD service business.
• Develop powertrain components for minimum cost and maximum customer satisfaction.
• Failure analysis and development of repair solutions.
• Support licensees and handle requests for alternative executions and non-conformity reports.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of innovative and state of the art powertrain componenets, such as variable compression ratio system, supply unit drive, gears and plain bearings
• Layout, design and adaptation of powertrain systems for retrofit to existing engines
• Provide excellent support for the WinGD service business
• Develop powertrain components for minimum cost and maximum customer satisfaction
• Failure analysis and development of repair solutions in case of damages
• Support Licensees and handle requests for alternative executions and non-conformity reports

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering (M.Sc., B.Sc., Dipl.-Ing. or equivalent)
• Knowledge of design and stress assessment of mechanical components
• Experience in CAD system (NX preferred) & FEM software (ANSYS Workbench preferred) required
• Experience in EHD software AVL EXCITE & gear calculation software KISSsoft beneficial
• Fluent in English, German beneficial; good oral and written communication
• Independent, self-driven and target oriented way of working
