Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in CNS Biology/Pharmacology to join our Biological Sciences Group in Basel, Switzerland. The candidate will advance mode-of-action studies and disease biology in CNS drug discovery using hiPSC-derived neuronal co-cultures and rodent models.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in neuroscience or related field.
• Proven track record with hiPSC-derived neuronal co-cultures.
• Hands-on experience with multi-electrode arrays for neuronal recordings.
• Knowledge of autism models is advantageous.
• Experience with rodent handling and behavioral pharmacology.
• Experience with CRISPR and molecular biology tools is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design, perform, and interpret experiments in hiPSC-derived neuronal co-cultures to characterize CNS drugs.
• Set up electrophysiology, omics, biochemical and immunocytochemistry assays for mechanism-of-action studies.
• Introduce disease-causing mutations into iPSC cells (CRISPR) to generate disease models.
• Design, perform, and interpret experiments in rodent CNS disease models.
• Set up autism-relevant behavioral pharmacology assays.
• Document experiments with detailed analyses and present results in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Prepare publications of results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with the scientific computing group to test computational models of drug effects on neuronal activity.
• Follow developments in the field and evaluate CNS drug discovery opportunities.
