Ready to elevate athlete performance with higher-quality metrics for guiding training and recovery? The Running Performance Group at the Exercise Physiology Lab in the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, ETH Zurich, is expanding its activities in sports performance research. We are currently offering a fixed-term postdoctoral position in the field of athlete monitoring.
Current technologies enable the collection of vast amounts of data from athletes. Despite many technical advances, the field is not yet able to deliver on its marketing claims and athletes are swamped by data that does not add value to training planning. The goal of this postdoctoral position is to develop and evaluate new ideas for monitoring the load and recovery of athletes, with the aim to improve performance, including investigating different types of sports equipment that may modulate training load and recovery.
You will design studies involving experimental investigations in the laboratory and telemonitored training and testing sessions. The goal of these studies is to develop protocols and metrics aimed at better assessing the relationship between training load and recovery to optimize training processes.
We offer a fully funded full-time postdoctoral position on the ETH Zurich postdoctoral salary scale for one year (renewable to a maximum of 6 years) a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and technologies. ETH Zurich a team providing excellent training opportunities for career development and a strong network. Look forward to an exciting and inspiring work environment with a rich cultural diversity.
