The Singapore-ETH Centre in Singapore invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neurostimulation for Stroke Rehabilitation. You will drive feasibility studies of movement-paired taVNS using the SmartVNS system across hospital, clinic and home settings, coordinating with NTU and TTSH to evaluate clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, Bioengineering or related field.
• Strong interest in translating neurostimulation and rehabilitation technologies into clinical practice.
• Experience designing and conducting clinical/human-subject studies; knowledge of movement science, usability, and study design.
• Understanding of neurophysiology methods such as TMS and EEG in patient research.

Responsabilités

• Design feasibility studies of movement-paired taVNS across inpatient, outpatient and home settings.
• Validate real-time movement detection and taVNS triggering algorithms and tailor stimulation.
• Investigate taVNS effects on neuroplasticity and upper limb recovery in post-stroke subjects.
• Evaluate taVNS with robotic rehabilitation tech during clinical and home training.
• Collaborate with hospitals, collect and analyze clinical/behavioral/physiological data.
• Design and conduct clinical studies, ensure ethical and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise PhD researchers, master students and technical staff; disseminate findings.
