Job summary

The Roche Institute of Human Biology (IHB) in Basel seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop machine learning methods for organoid phenotyping and high-throughput screening. You will lead computational work and work closely with experimental scientists to translate findings into drug-discovery workflows.

You will work with rich, multi-modal datasets, implement state-of-the-art ML approaches in Python (JAX, PyTorch, TensorFlow), and publish results while contributing to open-source tools.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, ML, bioinformatics or related field.
• Strong publications or software contributions demonstrating independent research.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with experimental scientists.
