Job summary

The Bern Academy of the Arts (HKB), a department of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), seeks a sub-project coordinator for an SNSF research project on value-based and participatory Baukultur. The role emphasizes cultural probes and instrument development for sustainable transformation.

The candidate will work across disciplines with practice partners and stakeholders, and will prepare results for experts and the public, taking on organisational tasks.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a field related to social design or geography.
• Experience with cultural probes and other design research methods including participatory design and ethnography.
• Ability to work independently in inter- and transdisciplinary projects and manage organisational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage a sub-project within the SNSF research project on Baukultur.
• Research participatory methods and develop instruments for sustainable Baukultur transformation.
• Coordinate cooperation with practice partners and stakeholders across the programme.
• Prepare and publish research results for experts and the general public; handle organisational tasks.
