Zusammenfassung

Alpen Partners AG in Freienbach (SZ) seeks a Portfolio Manager/Trader for our PM Team. The role involves active portfolio implementation, monitoring, and trading across assets within an in-house framework.

You will work with senior PMs to develop investment ideas, contribute to committees, and prepare client-ready analyses while maintaining high confidentiality and accuracy. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or equivalent and strong interest for markets.
• 1-5 years of experience in portfolio management, investment advisory or middle office.
• Sell-side or buy-side experience, with competence in investment management or investment consulting.
• Experience in trading options would be a plus.
• Background in equity and/or fixed-income securities with an interest to learn.
• Fluent in German and English; other languages valued.
• Resident in the Greater Zurich area; candidates living abroad will not be considered.
• Good command of MS Office; Bloomberg tools.

Aufgaben

• Work with other Senior Portfolio Managers as a team.
• Active implementation and monitoring of client portfolios.
• Implement trades based on the in-house asset allocation views, execute buy and sell orders for securities and other financial instruments.
• Contribute to the quarterly investment committee and investment letter.
• Analyze client portfolios to ensure they align with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and asset allocation strategies.
• Respond to specific client demands and investment proposals.
• Verify the execution terms of our clients’ portfolios.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, assisting in the development of investment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Prepare bespoke documents for clients (including market and performance attribution analysis).
• Contribute to equity research and production of trading ideas.
• Contribute to Chief Compliance Officer duties related to portfolio management.

• Bachelor or equivalent and strong interest for markets
• 1-5 years of experience in portfolio management, investment advisory or middle office gained in a bank, insurance company, asset manager, or hedge fund
• Sell-side or buy-side experience, with competence in investment management or investment consulting
• Experience in trading options would be a plus
