Job summary

Strausak AG in Grenchen, Solothurn, Switzerland, is seeking a dedicated specialised polymechanician in assembly to join our precision engineering team. You will assemble sub-assemblies, perform precise adjustment, alignment, and setting, and carry out functional and quality checks on our high-precision machines.

We value structured, autonomous work, strong quality awareness, and willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland and Germany. German language skills are essential; French a plus.

Qualifications

• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as polymechanician, micromechanician, or equivalent technical training.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in machine construction.
• Structured, methodical and autonomous working style with a strong quality mindset.
• Team spirit and sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland and Germany.
• German language skills; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of sub-assemblies.
• Precise adjustment, alignment and setting work.
• Assembly of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Carrying out functional and quality checks.
• Documentation of control results, including geometric and dimensional checks.
• Analysis of mechanical malfunctions and development of optimisation proposals.
• On-site service interventions at clients’ premises.
• Active participation in continuous improvement of products and processes.

• Team spirit and sense of responsibility
• Availability for occasional business trips, mainly in Switzerland and Germany
• Good knowledge of German; knowledge of French is an advantage
• Category B driving licence
