Ärztekasse Genossenschaft in the Zurich area seeks a Head of Platform Engineering to lead and shape our platform. You will own the strategy, architecture and roadmap of the CDM Cloud Platform (Kubernetes) and ensure high availability, security and scalability across the stack.

The role requires strong leadership, a strategic yet hands-on mindset, and excellent communication with stakeholders. Fluency in English is expected; German and French are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in platform/infrastructure engineering, including leadership.
• Strong technical background in Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture and automation.
• Proven ability to lead, grow and motivate engineering teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical credibility.
• Experience operating mission-critical systems in a regulated environment is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop the Platform Engineering team (approx. 8 people).
• Own the strategy, architecture and roadmap of our CDM Cloud Platform (Kubernetes).
• Ensure availability, reliability, security and scalability of the platform.
• Drive automation, infrastructure as code and GitOps across the organization.
• Foster a strong engineering culture and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with development, security, operations and infrastructure leadership on cross-team initiatives.
• Manage budget, vendors and capacity planning for the platform.
