Job summary

Liip, a Swiss digital agency with around 200 experts, invites you to join as Sysadmin / Platform Engineer in Basel. You will run and look after our infrastructure—Linux hosts, Kubernetes clusters and the GitLab platform—supporting our in-house development teams.

You’ll keep systems up to date, perform upgrades, backups, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, and help deploy Django, Drupal and Vue.js projects. English is commonly used; German Swiss is a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid Linux administration experience (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Production Kubernetes experience (Helm, ingress, upgrades, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Experience deploying Django, Drupal or Vue.js projects.
• Strong interest in security and cyber risk.
• Interest in sustainability and digital sovereignty.
• English fluency; German Swiss language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain Linux hosts, Kubernetes clusters, and GitLab platform.
• Keep systems up to date with upgrades, backups, monitoring and alerting.
• Help dev teams deploy Django, Drupal and Vue.js projects smoothly.
• Collaborate with Swiss hosting providers prioritizing sovereignty and sustainability.
• Document knowledge to share across the team.
