The City of Winterthur is seeking a Physiotherapist (80%) to support elderly care and nursing. You will plan and deliver inpatient and outpatient therapies and collaborate with a diverse interprofessional team to enhance mobility and quality of life for older adults.

We value evidence-based practice, independence, and ongoing professional development within a supportive, team-oriented environment starting January 1, 2027, or by agreement.

Physiotherapist (80 %), Elderly Care and Nursing

The Elderly Care and Nursing department of the city of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services primarily for older people with five senior centers and Spitex. Our interprofessional therapy team consists of nine physiotherapists, four occupational therapists, two coordinators, and students. At all five locations, we treat patients from the fields of geriatrics, orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, and psychiatry. Together, we support patients and residents in various life and care situations from transitional and long-term care to outpatient services. We work closely with nursing staff, doctors, and other professional groups. Your Responsibilities

• Independent planning, execution, and evaluation of inpatient and outpatient therapies
• Active exchange in the interprofessional team with other professional groups
• Participation in interdisciplinary reports and discussions
• Administrative tasks (appointment scheduling, documentation of treatments, writing reports, coordinating prescriptions, etc.)
• Occasional co-supervision of students from ZHAW

Your Profile

• Completed training as a physiotherapist (BSc), with foreign diplomas recognized by SRK
• You are motivated to treat and support older people based on evidence, goals, and resources
• You work in a structured and independent manner
• You are a flexible, responsible, and team-oriented personality
• You enjoy the further development of interdisciplinary collaboration
• You have good IT user skills (MS Office) and written as well as spoken German skills
