Zusammenfassung

Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) is seeking a proactive physiotherapist to develop, apply and evaluate treatments in accordance with diagnoses and prescriptions. You will join a multidisciplinary team across all DRG sites, documenting records daily and contributing to interprofessional coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy (Swiss Red Cross recognition), French C1 for non-speakers, and strong IT skills. Start date 01.10.2026, 80% contract.

Qualifikationen

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or a physiotherapy diploma recognised and registered by the Swiss Red Cross.
  • Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and palliative care would be an asset.
  • For non-French-speaking candidates, a C1 level in French is required.
  • Perfect command of common IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is necessary to successfully carry out this mission. Knowledge of HUG applications is a plus.

With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical centre focused on the elderly and is spread across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services at the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-specific issues, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.

The department is located on 5 different sites that accommodate people whose health condition requires hospitalisation for geriatric care or rehabilitation treatments as well as palliative care.

Job Description

Proactive, you want to contribute to the projects of a large institution such as the HUG and you identify with our institutional values?

As a physiotherapist, you develop, propose, apply and evaluate physiotherapy treatments in accordance with the diagnosis and medical prescription for the patients entrusted to you. In this capacity, you participate in case conferences, patient situation discussions and interprofessional coordination meetings.

You document patients’ records daily (treatments performed and clinical information) and enter the services provided, being concise in your information transmissions.

Thanks to your team spirit, you know how to work within a multidisciplinary team composed of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and care staff, doctors, and you ensure efficient service delivery. In this context, you are capable of working autonomously, relying on your organisational skills and initiative.

You have excellent communication skills and demonstrate empathy and tact with internal teams and patients.

Your role involves participating in multidisciplinary projects within your department and collaborating in the training of health students and professionals.

Qualifications

As the position involves mobility, experience in geriatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and palliative care would be an asset.
