Qualifikationen

  • Strong experimental and hands-on research ability across hardware, biology, and learning.
  • Experience with CAD, 3D printing, machining, electronics, or robot integration is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

  • Take research ideas from concept to working systems with architecture design, building, sensing, and control.
  • Prototype rapidly, measure, iterate, and validate through real-world experiments.
  • Engineer bones, joints, tendons, and muscles using compliant materials or living tissue.
  • Develop learning-based control and perception methods for real robots and responsible bench-testing.
  • Publish at top venues and release open-source hardware/code to support the community.
  • Collaborate closely across hardware, muscles, and machine learning teams.
