The University of Lausanne invites applications for a Doctoral Student SNSF in Law/Criminology within the School of Criminal Justice. The position is funded mainly by a SNSF Starting Grant and co-funded by UNIL, with a 4-year, 100% contract.

The project CONNECT studies state-community cooperation in crime control in Switzerland, via qualitative interviews and interdisciplinary analysis. You will write a PhD under Prof.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Law and/or Criminology or equivalent
• Experience with legal and policy research
• Knowledge of the Swiss legal system
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Fluency in French or German (French required within 1 year)
• Interest in combining legal analysis with empirical interdisciplinary research
• Experience with qualitative empirical methods, especially interviews

Responsabilidades

• Conduct legal and policy analysis relating to legislation and policy affecting ethnic and religious minorities in Switzerland
• Contribute to collection and analysis of empirical data, including interviews with institutional actors
• Write and complete a PhD in law/criminology under supervision of Prof. Clara Rigoni within the CONNECT project
• Interact with experts, practitioners and representatives of Swiss and international institutions and NGOs
• Contribute to publications, conferences and dissemination activities in Switzerland and abroad
• Participate in intellectual and academic life of the research group and the School of Criminal Justice
