Job summary

Expleo is seeking an Instrumentation Design Engineer to support detailed design engineering for pharmaceutical facilities in Visp, Switzerland. You will analyze process requirements, select instruments, and develop instrument datasheets and loops, ensuring GMP compliance and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Ideally you bring 4–20 years of experience, proficiency with P&IDs and control interfaces, and fluency in English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
4–20 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and design engineering.
Proven experience in detailed design engineering for industrial facilities, ideally in pharma/biotech/chemical/process industries.

Responsibilities

Analyze P&IDs and process requirements to define instrumentation needs.
Design instrumentation systems for industrial and pharmaceutical facilities.
Select and specify measurement and control instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc).
Define technical characteristics of instruments according to operating conditions and process requirements.
Contribute to instrumentation architectures and interfaces with control systems.
Develop and maintain instrument datasheets, indexes, I/O lists, cable lists, loop diagrams, MTOs.
Collaborate with Process, Electrical, Automation, Construction, and other disciplines to ensure compliant design.
