BRUSA HyPower AG, located in Buchs (Canton St. Gallen), was founded in 2021 as a spin‑off of BRUSA Elektronik AG. With around 400 employees across sites in Switzerland, Germany and China, we develop and produce innovative power electronics for e‑mobility, including DC/DC converters and onboard charging systems.
What you will move in this role
- Design and optimisation of PCB layouts for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical and thermal requirements.
- Creation and maintenance of electronic component libraries within the PCB design environment (Database and Altium Enterprise).
- Evaluation, selection and qualification of electronic components based on performance, availability, cost‑effectiveness and reliability criteria.
- Conducting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) reviews in close collaboration with production and industrialisation teams.
- Preparation and release of manufacturing documentation packages, including Gerber files, Bills of Material (BOMs) and assembly documentation.
- Supporting prototype builds through assembly integration, debugging activities and validation testing.
- Co‑ordination with PCB fabrication and assembly partners to resolve technical issues and continuously improve manufacturability and production效率。
- Driving the development and implementation of PCB design guidelines, processes and best practices across the organisation.
What skills and experience you should bring
- Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a comparable technical discipline.
- Solid knowledge of analog, digital and mixed‑signal electronics as well as PCB design principles, including layout constraints and stack‑up considerations.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with PCB manufacturing, assembly processes and relevant IPC standards.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory measurement equipment and low‑voltage testing for validation and troubleshooting activities.
- Experience working with PLM and ERP systems, ideally Windchill and Infor.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across hardware, mechanical, manufacturing and supplier interfaces.
- High attention to detail, quality and process compliance, combined with a structured and proactive working style.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for design quality and successful project outcomes.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are considered an advantage.
