Job summary

Schmid Group in Ebikon is seeking a Foreman in Paving Construction to manage road projects and lead the paving team on site. You will organize workflows, supervise equipment, and ensure quality and safety while coordinating with management and suppliers.

The role requires road/civil engineering training, several years of paving experience, and strong knowledge of rolled asphalt. German B2 and a valid B driver’s license are expected. Five weeks vacation and attractive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Completed training in road/civil engineering (EFZ).
• Several years of experience in road and paving construction.
• Proven leadership and ability to organize construction teams.
• Excellent knowledge of rolled asphalt installation and processing.
• Good German language skills (B2) and a valid driver’s license (B).

Responsibilities

• Manage road construction and paving work.
• Lead and coordinate site employees.
• Plan daily workflows, machinery and materials.
• Install rolled asphalt with the paving team.
• Supervise road construction, edge finishes, and paving work.
• Perform staking and surveying as per plan.
• Ensure quality, deadlines, and safety on site.
• Create daily reports and measurements.
• Coordinate with management, site managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Actively participate on the construction site.
