Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Staff Process Engineer for Parenterals New Product Introduction & Life Cycle Management in Schaffhausen. You will drive technology transfer, support engineering runs and validation batches, and lead improvements to ensure compliant, robust manufacturing processes.

Role focuses on drug product filling, with collaboration across Operations, Engineering, and MSAT, ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and SOX guidelines in a fast-paced pharmaceutical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or engineering required.
• 4+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including parenteral or manufacturing
• Experience introducing parenteral products into manufacturing sites preferred
• Knowledge of late-stage development activities and manufacturing site unit operations (ex: filling, milling)
• Strong planning and logistics skills to integrate drug product deliverables at manufacturing level
• Knowledge of manufacturing site systems (SAP, PAS-X or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence partners at all levels
• Proficiency in German and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as core team member in technology transfer projects for new products.
• Prepare and execute engineering runs, clinical batches, and validation batches with Operations, Engineering, and MSAT.
• Lead and support improvement projects to strengthen process robustness and compliance.
• Manage change controls, recipes, and document updates for assigned projects.
• Train shop floor and leadership on project-related content and process changes.
• Serve as SME in audits and inspections for production topics.
• Collaborate with Production and other partners to ensure aligned implementation.
• Follow GMP, EHS, and SOX guidelines.
