Zusammenfassung

Roche invites interns to join the Diagnostics Division in Rotkreuz for an experimental feasibility study on oxygen scavenging strategies for blood gas reagents. You will screen organic scavengers, assess enzymatic systems, and evaluate packaging materials while applying electrochemical and spectroscopic methods to measure oxygen consumption and interactions.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s program in chemistry-related fields, with strong wet-lab skills, enzyme knowledge, and English

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Strong theoretical and practical foundation in organic chemistry and wet-lab formulation.
• Knowledge of enzymes, enzyme kinetics and biochemical mechanisms.
• Self-organization, analytical problem-solving, and structured experimental design.

Aufgaben

• Drive an exploratory feasibility project evaluating oxygen scavenging strategies for next-gen blood gas reagents.
• Screen organic scavengers and analyze oxygen-depletion kinetics and sensor interference.
• Assess enzymatic scavenger systems for feasibility and performance.
• Evaluate active packaging laminates and leachables/extractables testing.
• Apply analytical methods to measure oxygen consumption and matrix interactions; summarize results for R&D.
