Job summary

CTC Resourcing Solutions is recruiting for a global leader in Life Sciences. The role is for an OT Integration Delivery Lead based in Basel, Switzerland, on a 12-month contract with extension possibilities.

The successful candidate will lead detailed design, configuration, and deployment of OT integrations, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver OT platforms and automation components within scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• Swiss working permit and/or Swiss/EU citizenship required.
• 10+ years delivering production-grade integrations across automation, MES and historian platforms.
• Deep understanding of DCS, MES and historian environments (DeltaV, Syncade, AVEVA PI).
• Experience with Ignition, MQTT, HiveMQ and industrial gateways.
• Strong knowledge of ISA-88/ISA-95 structures and OT/IT interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, development, testing and deployment of OT integrations for ODH Phase 1.
• Deliver Lighthouse integrations with DeltaV, Syncade MES, PI Historian and LIMS connectivity.
• Coordinate automation resources and external partners to meet scope and schedule.
• Define OT message structures, topic mappings and data transformations.
• Ensure version control, documentation and change/release processes for OT code.

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for an OT Integration Delivery Lead, based in Basel, Switzerland for a 12 months contract, with the possibility of extension.

The OT Integration Delivery Lead is responsible for delivering the OT integration and OT operational-application scope of Operations Data Hub Phase 1, covering the Portsmouth Midscale Lighthouse and the Cross-Platform

Network Assessment.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the detailed design, configuration, development, testing and deployment of OT integrations for ODH Phase 1.
• Deliver the Lighthouse integrations with DeltaV, Syncade MES, PI Historian and the plant-side components of LIMS connectivity.
• Deliver OT operational applications and plant-side visualisation capabilities where these form part of the approved ODH scope.
• Ensure integration deliverables are completed within the scope, schedule, budget, quality and resource framework established by the GE Delivery Lead.
• Coordinate site automation resources, external delivery partners and system vendors throughout execution.
• OT Platform Configuration and Development
• Deliver the OT-side configuration and development of Ignition, HiveMQ, connectors, gateways and related integration services.
• Define and implement OT message structures, topic structures, UDTsmappings, interfaces and source-to-platform transformations.
• Align OT monitoring, diagnostics, exception handling and failure recovery requirements with the IT/OT Delivery Lead.
• Work with the Semantic Models Lead to ensure technical mappings preserve the intended business meaning and semantic relationships.
• Work with the Source System Readiness & Remediation Lead to confirm source accuracy, information availability and remediation dependencies.
• Define pragmatic integration-readiness criteria and identify material constraints, dependencies and integration gaps without developing unnecessary detailed designs for every asset.
• Contribute the OT platform and integration components of the target blueprint, including reusable Ignition and HiveMQ patterns and relevant requirements for growth projects and future asset assessments.
• Ensure OT integration code and configurations are version controlled, documented and managed through appropriate change and release processes.
• Support the E2E C&Q/CSV Lead in qualification and validation activities while recognising that qualification accountability remains with the E2E C&Q/CSV Lead.
• Provide transparent delivery reporting to the GE Delivery Lead, who retains overall accountability for partner scope, engineering delivery and commercial oversight.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
• Bachelor or Master`s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• OT Integration Delivery: Proven experience (10+years) delivering production-grade integrations across automation, MES, historian and manufacturing-data platforms.
• Automation and Manufacturing Systems: Deep practical understanding of DCS, MES and historian environments, preferably including DeltaV, Syncade and AVEVA PI.
• Industrial Data Platforms: Proven experience with Ignition, MQTT, HiveMQ, industrial gateways, message brokers and event-driven manufacturing-data architectures.
• Digital Manufacturing Architecture: Strong understanding of digital-manufacturing architectures, ISA-88/ISA-95 structures, plant-to-enterprise integration and OT/IT boundaries.
• Manufacturing Data and Context: Ability to implement mappings for batches, materials, equipment, recipes, process steps, parameters, events, samples and quality information.
• Integration and Software Engineering: Experience with APIs, supported connectors, message models, configuration management, version control, testing and reusable software/configuration patterns.
• DevSecOps and Deployment Practices: Understanding of automated deployments, environment promotion, release control, regression testing and secure development practices in controlled OT environments.
• GMP, CSV/CSA and Data Integrity: Practical understanding of regulated manufacturing, computerised-system validation, controlled change, traceability and technical evidence requirements.
• Vendor and Partner Management: Ability to direct system vendors, automation teams and integration partners against clear technical deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Operational Supportability: Ability to design integrations with appropriate monitoring, failure handling, diagnostics, maintainability and vendor-supported lifecycle paths.
• Business fluency in English is mandatory.
