Rieter, the world’s leading system supplier for processing natural and man-made fibers, is strengthening its OT development capabilities in Winterthur. We are looking for a hands‑on OT leader who enjoys building and guiding a team of developers and architects, and who wants to actively shape Rieter’s digital and AI future on the shopfloor.

With 7+ years in OT/ICS development and PLC/IPC control experience (IEC 61131‑3, Codesys, Siemens, Beckhoff), you will design and evolve control architectures

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or a related field.
• 7+ years experience in OT/ICS development or industrial automation, including leading projects and teams.
• Proven track record in PLC/IPC-based control projects (e.g. IEC 61131-3, Codesys, B&R, Siemens, Beckhoff) and embedded C/C++.
• Experience in designing or evolving control architectures – familiarity with TOGAF, ISA‑95/99 or comparable reference models.
• Solid understanding of OT security and safe OT/IT integration.
• First exposure to AI-related topics in industrial environments (e.g. data pipelines for analytics, condition monitoring, optimization), or strong motivation to build these skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills: able to coach developers, shape direction, and collaborate across R&D, IT, Data and regional organisations.
• Comfortable working in an international environment (English required, German a plus)
