Job summary

Jobup in Bern seeks an OT Cyber Security Manager for the BESS unit to ensure secure, reliable operation and ongoing development of OT systems. You will define security requirements, test vendor solutions, and manage the lifecycle of OT components.

Qualifications

• University degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional OT and cybersecurity experience.
• Sound knowledge of OT/ICS systems, industrial networks, protocols, integration and lifecycle management.
• Familiar with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS 2 and Swiss ICT minimum standard and their audits.
• Knowledge of security solutions and architectures (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable, available, secure operation of the OT system landscape and manage component lifecycle.
• Analyze and resolve disruptions, deviations and security incidents with traceable documentation.
• Define technical and security requirements for control technology and OT connections; test supplier solutions up to acceptance.
• Assess cyber risks per Security by Design; prioritise mitigations and manage implementation.
• Co-ordinate external specialists for plant certifications and compliance evidence (NIS 2, ICT minimum, KRITIS).
• As Local Security Officer, align cybersecurity requirements across Switzerland and Germany with IT, Legal, Procurement and partners.

You are responsible for the secure and reliable operation as well as the further development of the OT systems of our battery storage. From defining technical security requirements to testing supplier solutions and acceptance, you ensure that OT connections function securely.

OT Cyber Security Manager BESS (all)

Your area of responsibility

• You ensure the reliable, available and secure operation of the OT system landscape and manage the technical lifecycle of the components
• You analyse and resolve disruptions, system deviations and security incidents and ensure traceable documentation
• For control technology and OT connections, you define technical and security-related requirements and test supplier solutions up to acceptance
• You assess cyber risks according to Security by Design and relevant guidelines, prioritise mitigation measures and manage their implementation
• For plant certifications and compliance evidence according to NIS 2, ICT minimum standard or KRITIS, you manage and coordinate external specialists
• As Local Security Officer, you coordinate cybersecurity requirements in Switzerland and Germany, working together with IT, Legal, Procurement and external partners

Your profile

• University degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the OT and cybersecurity environment
• Sound knowledge of OT/ICS systems, industrial networks, communication protocols, system integration and lifecycle management
• Familiar with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS 2 and the Swiss ICT minimum standard as well as their implementation, audits and compliance evidence
• Knowledge of security solutions and architectures such as SIEM, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection as well as cyber risk management and compliance
• Strong analytical and communication skills as well as experience in stakeholder and provider management
