Job summary

Kolmar Group AG in Zug is seeking an Operator Biofuels, 100%, to manage all operational aspects of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes from deal confirmation through delivery. You will coordinate multimodal logistics and act as a senior reference within the Operations team.

The role requires at least five years of biofuels operations experience, strong knowledge of shipping and incoterms, and the ability to lead and mentor colleagues while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in biofuels operations or jet trading.
• Strong understanding of shipping logistics, incoterms, and trading documents.
• Willing to take on delegation and coordination responsibilities within the team over time.
• Commercial awareness and ability to assess operational impact on trading decisions.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple shipments.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes from confirmation to delivery.
• Coordinate multimodal logistics: vessels, terminals, rail cars, and other modes of transport.
• Handle shipping activities: nominations, terminal coordination, loading, discharge, and related documentation.
• Coordinate nomination, scheduling, loading, tracking and delivery of rail tank cars where applicable.
• Develop and maintain operational plans and schedules for timely execution of physical trades.
• Act as a senior reference within Operations, delegating tasks and coordinating with colleagues.
• Monitor execution, anticipate delays and risks, and take proactive measures to meet delivery commitments.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as shipping agents, terminals, inspectors, and logistics providers.
• Ensure cargoes and related activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with consideration of commercial impact.
• Collaborate with Trading to reflect operational considerations in commercial decisions.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team

For our Operations team, we are looking for a motivated and determined:

Operator Biofuels, 100%

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all operational aspects of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes, from deal confirmation through to final delivery and settlement
• Coordinate multimodal logistics, including vessels, terminals, rail tank cars, and other relevant modes of transport
• Handle shipping activities including vessel nominations, terminal coordination, loading and discharge operations, and operational documentation such as bills of lading, customs documentation and letters of credit
• Coordinate the nomination, scheduling, loading, tracking and delivery of rail tank cars, where applicable
• Develop and maintain operational plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution of physical trades
• Act as a senior point of reference within the Operations team, delegating tasks and coordinating with colleagues to ensure effective workflows and clear ownership
• Monitor execution closely, anticipate potential delays, bottlenecks or other operational risks, and take proactive measures to meet contractual delivery commitments
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including shipping agents, terminals, inspectors, surveyors, logistics providers and other operational counterparties
• Ensure cargoes and related operational activities are executed in accordance with contractual and applicable regulatory requirements
• Identify, address and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally, while considering their commercial impact
• Work closely with Trading and other internal stakeholders to ensure operational considerations are reflected in commercial decisions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, controls and procedures, and actively promote knowledge sharing within the team

Your professional profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations for biofuels products or jet —ideally within a trading environment
• Strong understanding of shipping logistics, incoterms, and trading documentation
• Ability and willingness to take on delegation and coordination responsibilities within the team over time
• Commercial awareness and ability to assess operational impact on trading decisions
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneouslyFluent in English; additional languages are a plus

Your personal qualities:

• Experience with biofuels/ jet regulations
• Familiarity with jet fuel blending or terminal operations
• experience in a team lead or mentoring role within operations is a plus
