Job summary

Philip Morris International offers an Open Innovation Internship in Switzerland, focusing on prototyping and evaluating emerging electronic technologies for early-stage smoke-free concepts. We seek a curious, technically strong student in CS/DS/Electronics/Engineering, available Feb 2027–Aug 2027, with Python and ML framework experience.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in CS/DS/Electronics/Physics/Engineering or related field.
Available Feb 2027 to Aug 2027.
Strong Python skills with scikit-learn, pandas and NumPy.
Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Knowledge of embedded programming including RTOS, Git, I2C, SPI and STM32.
Ability to evaluate electronic components using datasheets and testing.
Able to develop data analytics pipelines and generate insights with ML methods.
Demonstrates independence, critical thinking and collaboration.
