Job summary

BBGC in Geneva seeks an experienced Murex consultant to support the implementation, optimisation, and transformation of client projects across physical and financial commodities. The role requires deep understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle and the ability to translate complex trading requirements into structured system solutions.

You will act as a key liaison between front office, risk, operations, finance and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Murex experience within a commodity or energy trading environment.
• Good understanding of trade lifecycle processes, valuation, P&L, risk and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements across trading, risk, operations and finance, translating them into functional specifications and delivery priorities.
• Manage project scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and budgets, providing clear progress reporting and escalating issues.
• Work with business users, technical teams and vendors to coordinate Murex enhancements, integrations and process improvements.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, defect resolution, data migration and go-live readiness, ensuring successful business adoption and handover to support.

Required experience
Strong hands‑on Murex experience within a commodity or energy trading environment, with a proven track record in both business analysis and project delivery. A sound understanding of trade lifecycle processes, valuation, P&L, risk and settlements is essential, alongside excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable moving between detailed functional analysis and overall delivery coordination.
