CERN in Geneva seeks a Computing Engineer to design and operate shared AI platforms for physics experiments, services, and researchers. You will help shape the Next Generation Triggers and the central ML platform, leveraging open-source tooling, cloud-native tech, and HPC to turn data into insight.

The role requires ML systems experience, Kubernetes and CI/CD expertise, GPU workloads, and English with a willingness to learn French. Hybrid work and 40-hour weeks offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computing Engineering or related field.
• No CERN fellow/graduate contracts; PhD not eligible.
• Max 2 years of work experience since graduation by deadline.
• Experience with ML systems and cloud-native tech desirable.

• Design, develop, and operate the central ML platform at CERN.
• Shape AI platforms for HL-LHC scale data and diverse users.
• Prototype, benchmark AI use cases across heterogeneous infra.
