Job summary

CERN in Geneva is seeking to design and operate shared AI platforms that turn vast scientific data into insight. You will join the Next Generation Triggers project and build the central ML platform used across experiments, campus services and user communities.

Applicants should have a university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and ≤2 years since graduation, with no prior CERN fellow or graduate contract. This role focuses on open-source ML/MLOps, AI benchmarking, and collaboration with CERN

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the platform in the Next Generation Triggers (NGT) project for HL-LHC and beyond.
• Build and operate the central ML platform at CERN supporting all experiments and services.
• Collaborate with CERN teams to prototype, benchmark AI use cases across heterogeneous computing infrastructures.
• Create and maintain an open-source AI/MLOps ecosystem including model lifecycle management and monitoring.
