Domera Labs is building Ami, the first AI companion for seniors, with a voice-first, deeply personalized interface. This founding-level position offers the chance to work directly with the founders and shape the architecture from the ground up, delivering real products to users within months.

You will train and deploy ML models, optimize real-time speech processing, and build proactive behaviors with robust guardrails. A unique equity opportunity accompanies a competitive CHF salary.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience taking ML systems from experiment to production.
• Hands-on work with LLMs and/or speech models (ASR/TTS); fine-tuning experience is a strong plus.
• Comfort with real-time constraints: streaming inference, latency budgets, graceful behavior on bad networks.
• Bonus: edge/embedded deployment, agent frameworks, evaluation infrastructure, experience in NLU / NLP.

The underlying technology of Ami combines a model‑agnostic streaming pipeline consisting of proprietary models and off‑the‑shelf frontier models to create a hyper‑personalized and proactive user experience. The backbone of Ami is built by our foundational lab that builds a social intelligence model that is optimized for social interaction, human behavior and interpersonal skills

Domera Labs has secured large distribution agreements, a model co‑development partnership with a leading AI lab, and ODM manufacturing proposals. We are looking for people who want to build at the intersection of human‑machine interaction, mass‑consumer facing hardware and shape frontier research with social/non‑quantifiable benchmarking

• This is a founding‑level position. You will work directly with the founders, shape the architecture from the ground up, and see your work in users' hands within months, not years.

Technical Requirements

• Proven experience taking ML systems from experiment to production
• Hands‑on work with LLMs and/or speech models (ASR/TTS); fine‑tuning experience is a strong plus

We consider candidates across experience levels and lean toward senior engineers who have worked directly with frontier AI systems. Python, deep learning frameworks, or distributed computing are non‑negotiable for this role.
