In this role you will support the maintenance and operation of the ATLAS superconducting magnets. Furthermore, you will support R&D efforts for the benefit of present and future superconducting detector magnets.

Key Tasks

• Join a team of experts who ensure the smooth operation of the ATLAS superconducting magnets, as well as various other superconducting detector magnets at CERN.
• Prepare maintenance works for the annual end-of-the-year maintenance period and the long shutdown periods, and execute these works, typically in a hands‑on capacity.
• Contribute to Research and Development of technologies for superconducting detector magnets and associated technologies through the CERN Experimental PhysicsR&D programme.
• Contribute to the education of the new generation of students and graduates in the field of superconducting detector magnet technology.
