avec compétence (avecco) GmbH seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead simulation activities for industrial machinery. You will drive FEM/CFD studies, translate results into actionable insights, and collaborate with cross‑functional, international teams to shape early development concepts.

The role requires a strong background in structural mechanics, CAD experience, and fluent English with German as a plus; on-site collaboration in Switzerland is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least five years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• At least three years hands-on experience with simulation technologies, particularly finite element methods.
• Profound knowledge of structural mechanics, manufacturing technologies and simulation methods.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems.
• Fluent English required; German considered an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Lead structural simulation activities in early development phases using FEM, CFD and system simulation.
• Collaborate with design engineers and international, multidisciplinary project teams on technical concepts.
• Validate simulation results, perform plausibility checks, and translate findings into engineering recommendations.
• Support customer‑specific solutions, root‑cause analyses and damage consequence analyses.

• Develop simulation methods, tools, processes and internal standards, with reproducible documentation.

You develop and optimize structural components and assemblies for industrial machines by applying advanced simulation methods to evaluate function, structural integrity and fatigue life.

Tasks

• Lead structural simulation activities in early development phases using FEM, CFD and system simulation
• Collaborate with design engineers and international, multidisciplinary project teams on technical concepts
• Validate simulation results, perform plausibility checks, and translate findings into engineering recommendations

Profile
