Job summary

Jabil in Bettlach, Switzerland, seeks an experienced Master Planner (m/f/d) to join our global manufacturing team. You will own end-to-end production planning, balance demand, supply, inventory and capacity, and drive the Master Production Schedule to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource use.

You will lead cross‑functional planning, analyse capacity constraints, support S&OP, and promote best practices to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business admin or related field
• APICS CPIM or similar planning qualification is an advantage
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar planning role
• Experience in Medical Device is preferred; pharma or watchmaking industry valued
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel
• Experience with SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, and Microsoft 365
• Strong German and good English communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ownership and teamwork mindset

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production planning, aligning demand, material availability, capacity and priorities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for on-time delivery and efficient resource use
• Monitor planning performance, inventory health, and schedule attainment; identify risks and take corrective actions
• Lead cross-functional planning meetings with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance and Manufacturing
• Analyse demand and capacity, identify constraints, and provide actionable recommendations
• Facilitate customer reviews and planning discussions to ensure timely follow-up and satisfaction
• Support S&OP with data analysis, KPI validation, forecast reviews and demand-supply alignment
• Ensure data integrity in ERP and planning tools; maintain high schedule accuracy
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, reporting, forecasting and digital tools
• Act as planning SME; coach planners and promote best practices
• Collaborate with Finance and operations for reporting, forecasting and performance management
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance and a culture of excellence

Master Planner (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced Master Planner (m/f/d) to join our team in Bettlach in a permanent full-time role. The position is available for an immediate start or on a mutually agreed date.

The Master Planner (m/f/d) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient execution of the production planning process by balancing customer demand, supply, inventory, and manufacturing capacity. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will drive planning excellence, support business growth through accurate forecasting and scheduling, and lead initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the end-to-end production planning process, ensuring seamless alignment between customer demand, material availability, capacity, and production priorities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure on-time delivery, build readiness, and efficient resource utilization
• Monitor planning performance, inventory health, and schedule attainment, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to prevent supply disruptions
• Lead cross-functional planning and alignment meetings, driving effective collaboration between Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and Manufacturing teams
• Analyze demand and capacity requirements, identify constraints, and provide clear recommendations to support decision-making and business objectives
• Facilitate customer reviews and planning discussions, ensuring timely communication, follow-up actions, and excellent customer satisfaction
• Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through data analysis, KPI validation, forecast reviews, and demand-supply alignment activities
• Ensure accurate planning data and system integrity within ERP and planning tools, maintaining high levels of schedule and inventory accuracy
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, reporting, forecasting, and digital planning tools to enhance operational performance and efficiency
• Act as the planning subject matter expert, providing guidance, coaching, and support to planners while promoting best practices and high planning standards
• Collaborate closely with Finance and operational stakeholders to support business reporting, forecasting, and performance management activities
• Champion compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability

REQUIREMENTS

• Successfully completed a bachelor's and/or master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• APICS CPIM or similar planning-related qualifications are an advantage
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in the Medical Device industry is highly preferred; experience in the Pharmaceutical or Watchmaking industry is also valued
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills
• Experience with SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, and Microsoft 365 applications
• Solid German and good English communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate process deviations and identify sustainable solutions
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork
